Katja Geiger worked together with MMT in Malmö from 1954 to 1975. Due to Katja of Sweden’s export success, MMT changed from an unmodern textile factory that produced socks and underware to an international textile industry for fashion.
Katja Geiger’s brand started in New York with mainly prints from Scandinavian textile designers like Viola Gråsten and Göta Trägårdh. She was the first designer in Sweden with her own brand produced in a Swedish textile industry. Her drive to move the brand forward also meant that the MMT succeeded with higher profit.
